Our Story
From a Few Books to a Community Movement
What began years ago as a simple exchange of French books among FASNY parents has grown into a vibrant, multilingual project fueled by a shared love of reading.
With the early support and vision of a PTA initiative, our community’s passion for stories blossomed into a wide-reaching celebration of literacy in both French and English. While families have come and gone, that foundational spirit remains the heart of everything we do.
More Than a Book Fair
We believe literacy is a journey best taken together. Our project has grown to a series of active, community-wide events designed to bring people closer:

The FASNY PTA Book Fair: A celebration open to everyone—not just FASNY families—where new and used treasures in French and English find new homes.

The FASNY PTA Book Drive: A collective effort to gather and recirculate stories, to bring new life into all these pages.

Literacy in Action: We bring stories to life through enchanting story times for children, engaging book clubs for adults, and inspiring author conferences.

Giving Back: To ensure the magic reaches as many people as possible, we donate our unsold books to local literacy causes.
